How does Equelle work?
Equelle's key ingredient, S-equol, works by safely and naturally mimicking estrogen. 9
As estrogen declines, menopause symptoms go up. S-equol acts like estrogen in your body to help decrease menopause symptoms.
As we age, our bodies gradually produce less of the hormone estrogen.
Estrogen levels fluctuate during perimenopause and ultimately decline to lower levels through postmenopause, which can lead to unwanted symptoms.
S-equol shares a similar molecular structure to estrogen, allowing it to bind to the body’s estrogen receptors and mimic some of the beneficial effects of estrogen.9
The Power of S-equol
Derived from Soy
S-equol shares a similar shape to estrogen and mimics some of its actions, helping to alleviate menopause symptoms associated with decreased estrogen. 9
Our proprietary process leaves only small traces of soy compounds in the final Equelle product and mimics how S-equol is naturally produced in the body.

During menopause, estrogen levels decrease causing symptoms like hot flashes, sleep difficulties and vaginal irritation. Equelle's key ingredient, S-equol, has a similar structure as estrogen and can mimic some of its actions, helping to ease menopause symptoms.

S-equol is the key ingredient in Equelle. It is a naturally derived compound produced through the fermentation of soy germ and is naturally produced by some people in the gut in small amounts. The S-equol used in Equelle is developed using a patented fermentation process.
-
Equelle's key ingredient, S-equol, comes from Japan. It is tableted and manufactured in the United States.

Taking Equelle does not impact estrogen levels 3. Although Equelle’s key ingredient, S-equol, mimics some of the benefical effects of estrogen by preferentially binding to estrogen receptor beta, Equelle is a dietary supplement free from human & animal hormones*. Clinical research shows S-equol supplementation reduces the frequency of hot flashes, supports the quality of sleep, reduces bothersome vaginal symptoms like irritation, soreness and itching, and alleviates mood swings.†
Your body has two main types of estrogen receptors, called alpha receptors and beta receptors. Alpha receptors are primarily in your breast, ovarian, and uterine tissues. Beta receptors are primarily in places like the lining of your blood vessels and some parts of your brain. Estrogen, and estrogen hormone replacement therapies, bind to both alpha and beta receptors. S-equol has a similar molecular structure to estrogen but mostly binds to beta receptors.9
By favoring these beta receptors, S-equol:
● Mimics the benefits of estrogen and helps relieves menopause symptoms †
● Is not associated with breast cancer, changes in sex or thyroid hormones, or endometrial health. -
Equelle’s key ingredient, S-equol, has undergone decades of clinical research and development. It has been shown to be safe and to have no changes on sex or thyroid hormone levels, negative effects on endometrial health, and no association with breast cancer.
In general, taking botanicals or plant-based supplements may result in possible gastrointestinal upset. We recommend taking Equelle with food if you experience stomach sensitivity with supplements.
If you are experiencing any other adverse effects, we recommend discontinuing product use and consulting your physician or healthcare professional. -
Equelle should not be taken if you have a soy allergy or soy sensitivity. The key ingredient in Equelle, S-Equol, does not have any known interactions with medications or supplements in a clinical setting.
Equelle’s formulation contains calcium, which is recommended to be taken separately from both iron and thyroid medications for proper absorption. For specific guidance, we recommend the following:
Iron Supplements and/or Multivitamins Containing Iron: take 1-2 hours apart from Equelle.
Thyroid Medication: take Equelle 4 hours apart from your thyroid medication.
We always recommend you discuss any supplement use with your doctor. -
If you're experiencing symptoms like hot flashes, sleep disturbances, vaginal discomfort, and more, Equelle may be right for you.
